HERMOSILLO – In the middle of this year, customs in Mexico will stop checking randomly in land, air and sea ports, meaning that the traffic lights will stop working, according to the general customs administrator, Ricardo Peralta Saucedo.

Peralta stressed that these measures were taken in order to stop making discretionary acts in the reviews.

“All the merchandise will be checked and will not be inclusive, in very limited times, I mean in 4 seconds you can check a suitcase through a machine and in 40 seconds you can check a truck through technology,” he explained.

Mr. Peralta detailed the change of customs system that the federal government administration will make, by ensuring that the crossing at different border ports will be very agile.
