Transitions Optical Mexico inaugurates its fifth plant

With a US$7.5 million investment, Essilor Corporation inaugurated its fifth Transitions Optical Mexico plant, to produce ophthalmic prescription glasses. This new plant generated between 50 and 100 direct jobs, reaching 2,500 collaborators in total. The Vice President of the Administrative Council, Alain Robert, mentioned that no one gambles on a region where law enforcement is not certain, that is why there have been some interesting Foreign Direct Investment figures of up to US$1.46 million by the end of the third trimester 2017. Moreover, the first plant of the Company was inaugurated 32 years ago by Luis H. Alvarez, generating well-paid, specialty employment, in addition to having a social commitment to donating glasses to people of Chihuahua.
