Transtelco to Relocate El Paso Office to WestStar Tower

EL PASO, TX – Hunt Companies, Inc. and WestStar are pleased to announce that Transtelco, a leading digital infrastructure service provider, will locate at WestStar Tower.  Transtelco has purchased the 17th floor of the new 20-story, Class-AA office building in downtown El Paso, TX.  Transtelco presently has office locations across the U.S. and Mexico, with main campuses based in El Paso and Juarez, MX.

“With Transtelco’s core business based on binational connectivity, this new downtown location in El Paso is the perfect site for us as we continue to grow and expand our operations,” said Miguel Fernandez, CEO of Transtelco. “In terms of location, connectivity, eco-friendliness, space and many other amenities, the new location perfectly suits our company needs and will comfortably accommodate our employee base here in the U.S.”

Transtelco is a leading digital infrastructure service provider connecting companies on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border and across Americas, providing managed data and voice services to Fortune 500 companies, telecommunications, and cable companies over a fiber optic network that spans nearly 15,000 route miles between US and Mexico, and connecting 15 countries across Americas. Presently, approximately 400 employees work for Transtelco.

“This new state-of-the-art building plays a significant role in the ongoing renaissance for downtown El Paso and we are pleased that Transtelco chose to locate at WestStar Tower to continue their longstanding investment in downtown,” said Josh Hunt, Executive Vice President of Hunt.

WestStar Tower broke ground in the summer of 2018.  When complete in 2021, WestStar Tower, a multi-tenant, multi-level LEED® certified “Green Building”, will be the tallest building in El Paso at over 313 feet high.   The overall project will include approximately 264,000 rentable square feet of true Class-AA space and 12,000 square feet of ground-level office and retail space.  The building will offer approximately 850 parking spaces.

Other tenants committed to the project include HUB International, Windstar LPG, W. Silver Recycling, Corralito Steakhouse, Sushi Itto, WestStar Bank, and Hunt Companies.

Project partners include Duda|Paine (building architect), Gensler (interior design), OJB (landscape architect) and Moss (general contractor). Pre-leasing and sales of condominium office space is in full swing.  Will and Adin Brown with Sonny Brown Associates are leading the leasing and sales effort for office and retail users.
