US$2.7 billion to be invested in Tamaulipas

TAMAULIPAS – With a portfolio of 64 productive projects, the Federation will apply this year in Tamaulipas US$2.7 billion, highlighting the rescue of the Madero Refinery, the reconstruction of the electric power generation plant CFE Altamira, protection works of the Coastal Littoral and the expansion of the road network.

Roberto Salinas Ferrer, president of Cámara Mexicana de la Industria de la Construcción, stated that in 2019, the entity will receive an increase of US$157 million, with reallocations from Fondo Mexicano del Petróleo, budget increases and higher tax revenues.

Mr. Salinas explained that there are ten urgent projects that will be promoted by the Federation and through Pemex, the maintenance plan of the production capacity of the Madero Refinery, the conservation of the Altamira Integral System will be brought into action, while Comision Federal de Energía Eléctrican will bring into action the project of Electricity Generation of the Altamira Plant.
