Two projects from the aerospace sector arrived into the State of Sonora, with total investment valued at US$650 million, generating around 3,500 new jobs. The firm GE Aviation is going to invest US$400 million on a new plant to make turbine components, to be located North of this capital city, thus opening 3,000 new jobs for local engineers and highly qualified technicians to work in this enterprise. The second project belongs to the German-Mexican consortium AT Engine Mexico, with an investment valued at US$250 million creating roughly 500 highly qualified technical jobs.
