CHIHUAHUA – Solar farms, a compressed natural gas plant and two fuel storage units (gasoline and diesel), which together will exceed US$500 million in investment in the state, are the new projects to be executed by the state government’s Energy Administration.
Luisa Mesta Fitzmaurice, Undersecretary of Innovation and Development, estimated that the projects could begin at the beginning of the year 2020, which will position the state as a benchmark in the use of clean energy.
Solar farms are projected for the municipalities of Ahumada, Juárez, and Guerrero, for which US$20 million will be invested.
In addition, two projects have been detected for the construction of two fuel storage and distribution units in the municipality of Chihuahua, with investments of approximately US$90 million.
