SALTILLO, COAH – The government of Coahuila officially welcomed the vice-president of ZC Rubber, Henry Shen, to formalize an investment of US500 million and install a new plant in the industrial area of Derramadero, Saltillo.
The investment had been agreed last April, when the Governor of Coahuila, Manolo Jimenez Salinas, together with his team, made a commercial tour in Asia.
Jiménez emphasized that this investment will bring 1,400 more jobs to Coahuila. Negotiations for the installation of the tire manufacturing company began in October 2023 when Jiménez Salinas made a promotional tour as governor-elect, and were finalized in April of this year.
The government of Coahuila informed that after the formalization of the investment, an official ceremony will be held in the next few days, where the first stone of the company will be laid.
According to company information, ZC Rubber was founded in 1958 in China and is currently the leading tire manufacturer in the Asian country and as of 2022 is ranked ninth in the top 75 companies dedicated to tire production.
In 2022, the company’s sales exceeded US$4,17 billion. Some of the brands owned by the company are Westlake, Chaoyang, Arisun, Goodride, Trazano and Tianli.
