LAS CRUCES, NM – The City of Las Cruces has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA).
The City’s annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2022 was judged by an impartial panel to meet the program’s highest standards, which include demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant achievement by a government and its management.
The City of Las Cruces has received 19 consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (ACFR) awards.
“The preparation of the ACFR could not have been accomplished without the efficient and dedicated service of a highly qualified staff in the Financial Services Department,” said Josie Treviño, Controller of the Financial Services Department. “I would like to thank all the staff who assisted and contributed to the preparation of this report.”
