CECyTECH students excel in robotics competitions

CHIHUAHUA – Students from the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos del Estado de Chihuahua (CECyTECH), excelled in the Final Robotics Championship of the Chihuahua State League and in the Girl Powered 2024-2025 National Championship.

In the State League, the CECyT 11 Ciudad del Conocimiento de Ciudad Juárez campus was crowned champion by winning the title in the Robot Skills category and first place in Collaborative Robotics and Automation.

For its part, CECyT 22 Ayuntamiento won the title of champions in the Construction category. CECyT 14 Villa Esperanza shined with its First Place in Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence, in addition to being proclaimed Champions of Excellence, which assured them a pass to the World Championship to be held this year in Dallas, Texas.

In the Girl Powered 2024-2025 National Championship, an event exclusively for women, students from CECyT 14 Villa Esperanza stood out by winning the Construction Award and reaching the finals of the tournament.

Students from CECyT 11 Ciudad del Conocimiento were champions in the Design category and finalists in the tournament, while CECyT 22 Ayuntamiento were crowned champions in Robot Skills.

The event held at the Seminar Hall of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, brought together more than 40 teams from all over the country, of which CECyTECH was consolidated as the institution with the largest number of teams competing.

It is important to highlight that the Girl Powered National Championship is a unique event, aimed exclusively at women, which encourages their active participation in areas such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics and robotics.

This competition provides a space for young women to showcase and demonstrate their skills, in addition to encouraging their development and empowerment in the STEM field.

The participating CECyTECH schools were: CECyT 6 Chihuahua, CECyT 11 Ciudad del Conocimiento, CECyT 14 Villa Esperanza, CECyT 22 Ayuntamiento, and CECyT 20 Oriente.

CECyTECH is proud of the achievements of its students, who demonstrated that quality education in science and technology in the state of Chihuahua is a fundamental pillar for the development of new talents that will impact the future in various areas of knowledge.
