Bulkmatic to invest US$250 million in NL

Bulkmatic de México laid the first stone of its new intermodal terminal in the municipality of Pesquería, Nuevo Leon, with an initial investment of US$250 million. This project is expected to generate more than 2,300 direct and indirect jobs.

This new terminal will begin operations during the second quarter of 2026. With this announcement, the company has invested US$387 million in Nuevo León: US$12 million in the García terminal and US$125 million in the two terminals in Salinas Victoria.

The plant will focus on the handling of bulk materials and will optimize the supply chains of strategic industries such as food, plastics, chemicals and energy.

From these facilities, Bulkmatic will carry out rail transfer, specialized warehousing and ground transportation activities, aligned with the specific needs of its customers throughout the country.

“I am very motivated and optimistic about the future of the state, I want to thank Bulkmatic because today’s groundbreaking message is the kind of announcement we like. I say this with a sense of pride because not just any investment is coming in,” Governor Samuel Garcia Sepulveda commented.

The president assured that the state is on a strong footing, after announcements such as the construction of Volvo, the largest bus assembly plant in the world; or the expansion of Lego to become the largest plant globally.

With more than 28 years of experience, Bulkmatic de México is a leading transportation and logistics company that operates the most extensive network of rail terminals in the country, with 14 terminals that connect with more than 40 points of origin and destination. 90% of the raw materials received by the company are distributed to 800 plants in the country.
