ARTEAGA, COAH – Copeland, a global leader in sustainable heating and cooling solutions, opened its new compressor plant in Arteaga, Coahuila, with an investment of US$22 million and the promise of generating between 900 and a thousand direct jobs.
This project reinforces the positioning of the state as a strategic pole for the industry in Mexico and Latin America.
During the inaugural event, headed by Luis Olivares Martinez, Secretary of Economy, on behalf of Governor Manolo Jimenez Salinas, the impact of this investment on the local economy was highlighted.
“Copeland is not only investing in infrastructure, it is betting on the talent and quality of our people. This plant symbolizes the future of opportunities for the families of Coahuila,” Olivares emphasized.
John Schneider, president of Copeland Americas, noted that the decision to establish operations in Coahuila responds to key factors such as skilled labor, safety, robust infrastructure and an efficient transportation network.
“Saltillo is a strategic location for our expansion, and we are excited to be part of this dynamic community,” said Schneider.
The Copeland compressor plant in Arteaga marks a milestone in the global strategy of the company, which has more than 18,000 employees in 40 countries.
This facility will not only allow Copeland to consolidate its presence in the Latin American market, but also meet the growing demand for sustainable industrial and refrigeration solutions.
The mayor of Arteaga, Ana Karen Sánchez Flores, highlighted the attractiveness of her municipality as a reliable and prosperous destination for investment.
“The security and favorable conditions we offer make Arteaga an ideal place for projects of this magnitude,” she said.
