Nuevo León Strengthens Its Logistics Ecosystem
One year after the creation of the Logistics Cluster, the Nuevo León state government, through the Ministry of Economy, presented the progress made in strengthening sectors that are fundamental to the state’s economy, according to a press release.
The Secretary of Economy, Bestabé Rocha, took part in the celebration, during which it was noted that in 12 months, the cluster had brought together more than 30 member companies, universities, and more than 20 strategic partners, demonstrating the potential that arises when businesses, government, and academia work together as an ecosystem.
“When we stop working in isolation and start working as an ecosystem, our capabilities multiply. Being part of a cluster means having access to knowledge, talent, new business opportunities, innovation, and, above all, a network of companies with which we can grow together,” he said.
The secretary added that the cluster’s importance stems from the significant role this activity plays in the state’s economy. Currently, Nuevo León has 3,004 establishments dedicated to the logistics sector, which enable supply chains to function and facilitate the movement of goods to domestic and international markets.

Furthermore, in 2025, the sector recorded growth of nearly 0.3%, and in the first quarter of 2026, it grew by 0.5%, contributing 4.8% to Nuevo León’s economic growth during that period.
Rocha explained that the strengthening of the private sector has gone hand in hand with state government initiatives aimed at improving Nuevo León’s infrastructure and logistics connectivity, such as the comprehensive modernization of the customs facility and Puerto Colombia, with the goal of establishing it as an efficient, secure, and competitive border crossing with the United States.
